'Frosted Trees' for The International Scrapbook Garden

Hello my lovelies!
I'm back with my second layout created with the January kit from
The International Scrapbook Garden called 'Kisses and Snowflakes'.

'Frosted Trees'

Aren't these 7 Dots Studios papers so yummy? I love them! I thought this paper
made the perfect backdrop to splash around some super vibrant colors, and the teal
and fuchsia colors in this kit go so well together. I created my background
using the stencil and the stamp from the kit and then added the Shimmerz spray
and some watercolors.

I followed a sketch from one of my favourite blogs, Ecopaper.
I have followed this blog for a while now, and this sketch was perfect.
Ecopaper has some beautiful papers and dies that I would love to play with:)

Here is the sketch:

And for more info on how to buy this beautiful kit, please visit
The International Scrapbook Garden online store here.

Here are a few close ups:

I've never had any of the Prima Fluid Chalk edgers before, and I was surprised
at how smooth and rich the pigments were as I applied them to some
vintage ephemera pieces, beautiful! I think adding those colors added a lot
of depth to my layers and kind of tied everything together.

Here is a list of all the products I used from the Main kit, and all the add ons:

7 Dots Studio paper 'Frayed Knot'
13arts paper 'Freedom'
Prima Stencil
Kaisercraft stamp P.S. I love You

'We are all dreamers' a new kit by The International Scrap Garden

Hi there! Great news!
I've been invited to be a designer at the new scrapbook kit club
called The International Scrapbook Garden, and this is my very first layout using
the beautiful January kit called 'Kisses and Snowflakes'.

'we are all dreamers...'

There are two new kits that come out each month; one called The Garden kit that
seems more shabby and feminine, these are the kits I will be designing with, and another set
of kits called The Tool Shed, which are a little bit more masculine and grungy...
both January kits are so wonderful and full of my favourite brands.
I was so pleased when I tore open my box a few days ago, two gorgeous paper
collections, 'Art Journey' by 13 arts (which I used for this page) and 'Northern Lights'
by 7 Dots Studio (I was longing for these papers since the first day I saw them),
and so many beautiful flowers, chipboards, stamps, embellishments
and mediums, I was floored by how many goodies were in that box and
how well everything fit together.

Here is the main January Garden kit:

And then there are some beautiful add ons to the Main Kit,
absolutely chock full of wonderful mediums, flowers and chipboard:

To find out how to become a kit subscriber and receive a 10% discount for signing up, please go here.
And to visit the blog for loads of inspiration from the designers please go here.
We also have a Face Book group where you can post your projects completed with our kits here.

Here are a few close ups:

I love to tear papers up to create some interesting layers, here I glued down another 13 arts paper
on top and then added some stenciling with 13 arts modeling paste and then added the Shimmerz
spray, some stamping and some flowers from the main kit.

Here is a list of all the products I used from January kit and add ons:

13 arts paper 'Travel'
13 arts paper 'Freedom'
Kaisercraft Stamp 'P.S. I love you'
Prima Stencil
Shimmerz Spray 'Grape Escape'
Petaloo Various flowers from Main Kit
Darice Silver Snowflake brads

'Everyday blues...'

Hello my crafty ladies, happy weekend!
It's a bitterly cold Saturday morning and I know what I have planned today...
rest, homemade soup and lots of crafting!

'Everyday blues...'

I've had some mojo 'issues' recently, just not feeling too inspired to do my messy I've been taking some long walks in the fields in my house lately,
and I took these photos one morning and they sparked some ideas...
I thought about all the things that inspire me to create art, backgrounds full of vibrant
watercolors, lots of natural elements: thick brown twine, flowers, leaves,
torn up fabrics and vintage books, beads, all of which I tried to incorporate on my page.
Of course, pulling out my favourite 7 Dots Studios papers always helps
a lot too....I love the dark, vintage and mysterious feel to them and the
Hazy Days collection fit my mood perfectly.

I would like to enter my page in the 7 Dots Studio current challenge,
using your three favourite colors, here I chose blue, brown and white/cream.
More info on this challenge, here.

I'll be back soon with some great news...I'm on a new team!
Thanks for looking,
Lisa xo

'Peace on Earth'

Hello friends! Happy New Year to each and every one of you!
Thank you to all the girls who follow my blog and leave me such kind words...
I hope that 2018 will see all of our dreams come true:)

I have happy news that I get to stay on my favourite team....
Mixed Media & Art! I'm looking forward to another year of
creating layouts that I hope will inspire you to join in the fun!

'Peace on Earth'

As always the December moodboard is a wonder to behold and you
can also choose to use the sketch too. I was inspired by the colors of mint
green, soft browns and lots of snowy white, and the also the deer and snowflakes.

Here is the moodboard:

Please go here to find out how to enter and also to see the wonderful
projects by our design team.

Here are a few close ups:

I used a new Kaisercraft paper collection and added lots of Prima goodies:
flowers, pearls, art stones and paper clay molds. I also used some white lace, pinecones,
silver beads and some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays on the background.

All the best,
Lisa xo

'Be true to who you are...' a new page for Mixed Media & Art

Hello dear readers! I'm late this month with my project for my favourite
blog in the whole world....Mixed Media & Art, but here it is....
I am so happy to be staying on this team into the
new year! Thank you Olya for your support and your friendship xo.

'Be true to who you are....'

“Nothing is absolute. Everything changes, everything moves, everything revolves,
everything flies and goes away.”

So I've had a MAJOR dry spell over the last couple of months, and it's scary.
I LOVE creating my crazy drippy pages full of bits and pieces of nature,
lace and flowers, but I have had a serious lack of mojo lately.
So I sat down with the November moodboard from Mixed Media & Art,
and I slowly but surely created this page in my usual wild style.
I used some Blue Fern Studios paper for my background and added some
vintage lace, old ephemera, lots of Lindy's Gang Sprays, and
some Prima flowers. I hope you like it!
(and if there's anyone out there with some tips about how to
get my creative juices flowing again, drop me a line!)

Here are a few close ups:

The moodboard was full of greens blues and had a lot of architectural elements
in it, so I tried to copy that look by adding some chipboards covered in white
Prima White Crackle Texture Paste, and some paper clay mold pieces also from Prima.

Thanks for looking!

'Loving You' a new layout for More than Words

Hello! Is anyone there? It's been a while since I posted anything on my blog,
but I'm back today with a page I created for the wonderful
challenge blog 'More than Words'.

'Loving you'

What a treat to be invited to be a Guest Designer this month! I always see so many beautiful
projects on this blog and it's such an honor. I have been suffering with a terrible lack of mojo
over the past couple of months but this challenge was just what I needed to sit down and get back
to what I LOVE...creating layouts with lots of colors, flowers and chipboards.

Here is this month's challenge:

Please visit the More than Words blog here,
to find more information on how to enter.

Here are a few close ups:

I treated myself to some new goodies...I thought that might help kick start my
creativity. I bought Kaisercrafts Christmas paper collection called 'Mint Wishes',
the stamps and a die cut that went with it, and some new Prima flowers in teal.

I also added some 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces; a title, some snowflakes and a graduated
circle, all of them painted white. As the challenge is all about family, I used my favourite winter
photos of my little guy and added some numbers as a nod to how he actually counts down
the days to Christmas :)

Thanks for the visit! I hope to be posting more in the coming days....
I see so many challenges all about winter that I want to try,
I hope that you join in on this challenge,
Lisa xo
